What are you looking for?

Pedro Hernandez Serrano

I am currently the Coordinator of Data Stewardship Services at the University Library and Data Steward to the Faculty of Science and Engineering. I facilitate policy development, coordinate research data management support and aid regulatory compliance (e.g., GDPR, FAIR, DMPs).

I have been working at the intersection between Law, Policy, and Data Science in academia, taking the roles of researcher, developer, lecturer, and technical lead in scientific projects. Previously, I worked as Data Scientist in the public, financial, and insurance sectors. I'm one of the core developers of the Research Software tools for Legal Studies at the Maastricht University Law&TechLab from 2019, and the Data Architect of two European Trade Union Institute (ETUI) databases from 2020

I've lectured data science topics to lawyers, computational analysis to policy scholars, and data privacy to undergrads. My research interests are Data Governance, Legal Informatics, and Computational Policy Analysis.
