Patricia R. Bello Bertin

Patricia Bertin is an information manager and scientist at EMBRAPA --- the Brazilian Agricultural Research Corporation, a large governmental R&D organisation. With an academic background in Biological Sciences (Bachelor's and Master's Degrees, Universidade de Brasilia, Brazil) and a PhD in Information Management (Loughborough University, UK), her main research interests lie on the use of systems principles to solve information-related issues in organisations. Research Data Management, Open Data and Open Science are of particular interest. Currently, Patricia works at Embrapa's Secretariat of Institutional Development as a Supervisor for Transparency and Information Governance. Besides serving as a co-chair of the Interest Group on Agricultural Data of the Research Data Alliance (https://www.rd-alliance.org/groups/agriculture-data-interest-group-igad.html), Patricia coordinates the Brazilian commitment to Open Science in the IV Open Government National Action Plan (http://governoaberto.cgu.gov.br/no-brasil/planos-de-acao-1/copy_of_3o-plano-de-acao-brasileiro/4o-plano-de-acao-nacional_portugues.pdf).
