Pallab Pradhan

Mr Pallab Pradhan is working as a Scientist (Library Science) at the Information and Library Network (INFLIBNET) Centre, an autonomous Inter-University Centre of the University Grants Commission (UGC), New Delhi, INDIA. Before that, he worked with the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Indore, Tata Consultancy Services, INFLIBNET Centre, Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bengaluru and NIT Rourkela respectively for varying periods. He earned his MLIS from Sambalpur University, Odisha, and currently pursuing a PhD in LIS. He has more than 15 years of professional experience in the LIS field. His areas of interest include Open Science, Research Data Management, Research Evaluation Metrics - Bibliometrics and altmetrics, Scholarly Communication, and Reference Management tools, etc. Currently, at the INFLIBNET Centre, he is heading the Publication Division and engaged with national-level projects like IRINS: Indian Research Information Network System & VIDWAN Expert Profile Database, India Ranking – National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), Bibliometrics & Research Assessment Group, ICSSR Data Service: Indian Social Science Data Repository, and Patent Database, etc. He has twenty publications to his credit. He is the recipient of 04 International Fellows with travel grants and attended the 3:AM Altmetrics Conference 2016 in Bucharest, Romania; 10 Days FOREC11 Scholarly Communication Institute (FSCI 2019) in Los Angeles, USA; the FORCE11 annual conference meeting “FORCE2019” in Scotland, UK; and the 2024 Open Repositories Conference in Göteborg, Sweden. He is one of the Team Members of the 02 International Grants: ORCID GLOBAL PARTICIPATION — GRANT and DataCite Global Access Fund, awarded to the INFLIBNET Centre in 2023.
