Nicholas Car

Nicholas Car is a former computer science researcher, now data architect, who builds semantic web and other internet systems to manage government and research datasets with a particular focus on provenance. Currently he is working on both scientific datasets of all sorts within Geoscience Australia, his home institution, and inter-agency provenance and metadata sharing within Australia.

Nicholas is most interested in linking semantic web provenance metadata to other forms of digital data which allows provenance queries to take users to the services and datasets described. This work is a fusion of provenance ontology work, IT architectures and web services.
