Kevin Ashley
Kevin Ashley was Director of the Digital Curation Centre (DCC) from April 2010 to August 2026. The DCC's primary goal was originally the development of research data services in UK universities; during his tenure its scope broadened to work with research-performing organisations internationally. He began his career in computing support for medical research before moving to ULCC, one of the UK national supercomputing services. He worked in development and management roles and contributed to a number of international standardisation initiatives in networking. From the early 1990s his team concentrated on the development of digital archive services for a range of public bodies including the British Library and the Public Record Office with a special focus on database archives.
