Haris Hameed Mian

Ph.D. student at the Department of Mechanical Engineering and Technology Management (REALTEK), NMBU with a research focus on developing smarter computational fluid dynamics (CFD) methods for the aerodynamics of floating offshore wind turbines by utilizing machine learning methods (iCOWE project). Alongside my academic pursuits, I've got over five years of experience as a research engineer at Expert Engineering, where I've gained skills in CFD, computational modeling, CAD designing, and project management.Having master's degrees in both fluid dynamics and thermal systems engineering, my academic focus has spanned various research areas, including CFD, aeroelasticity, composite material design, computational modeling, and design analysis. I have contributed to several reputable journals through the publication of my research work and as a reviewer. With hands-on involvement in diverse projects, I've gained a robust understanding of intricate engineering challenges. Demonstrating a collaborative approach, I excel in team environments and can adeptly communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
