The RDAP25 BOF highlighted that dataspaces is a topic of interest with participants desiring to establish an interest group related to dataspaces. Building upon the discussion at the BOF, this session will engage participants through facilitated discussion to:

1. develop a scope of work for an RDA interest group related to dataspaces adjacent to the research ecosystem which was requested in P25, and
2. begin exploring how active working and interest group efforts in the RDA map to the dataspace concepts

• Full group review and discussion of drafted suggestions for IG SOW submission.

• Identification of shared issue spaces and related IG/WGs

• Identification of potential research efforts for related/new working group(s).

Mentimeter will be used to facilitate feedback across virtual audience, complementing verbal contributions.

In sum, this session will allow RDA members to continue to share lessons learned while adapting, adopting, and piloting the international Dataspace Protocol and its associated governance and technical building blocks for academic and industrial data sharing. It also will provide a space for RDA members to explore how the dataspace model for controlled data sharing maps to other RDA activities to identify future efforts for the interest group.
