Chantelle Verhey
Chantelle serves as the lead Research Associate for the Polar Semantics and Data Interoperability pork Package at the World Data System-International Technology Office, hosted by Ocean Networks Canada. She is currently pursuing a PhD at Carleton University, working with the Geomatics and Cartographic Research Centre (GCRC). Her research focuses on advancing the concepts of Polar Semantics and applying them to Knowledge-to-Action frameworks. Chantelle holds an MSc in Environmental Management from the University of Reading. Previously, she gained valuable experience at the University of Waterloo as a Data Manager/Data Specialist for the Polar Data Catalogue. Combining her research and professional experience, she aims to enhance data interoperability within the polar scientific community through the application of semantic technologies.
