Carlo Maria Zwölf

Dr. Carlo Maria Zwölf has a background in mathematical modelling for physics and scientific computing.

Since his arrival at the Paris Astronomical Observatory he has been involved into the International Virtual Observatory Alliance, where he developed a new standard for the interoperability of scientific web services (the Parameter Description Language).

He has been the deputy coordinator of the European FP7 project SUP@VAMDC.
He is the executive director of the Virtual Atomic and Molecular Data Center Consortium since its foundation and is the chair of the VAMDC Consortium scientific and technical board.
