Amanda Rush
Amanda Rush is a Research Fellow (Health Policy Analysis) at the Menzies Centre for Health Policy and Economics. She has broad research and policy experience across the Australian health research and healthcare landscape in government, non-government and academic roles.
She has a mixed methods PhD on the policy and funding implications of the current model for biobanking, a type of research infrastructure. She has 21 peer reviewed publications on themes including value, impact, systems analysis, and quality. She is an Editorial Board member for Biopreservation and Biobanking, with nine national/international conference presentations.
Amanda completed a PhD in health economics at the University of Sydney in 2020. She has previously worked at the NSW Ministry of Health, and on a number of Cancer Institute NSW-funded projects tasked with gaining a greater understanding of the practices cancer biobanks in NSW.
Amanda completed a Master of Public Health in 2010, and has also worked in both the UK and locally in pathology, clinical research and data management roles.
