Andrea Davanzo

I am a software engineer, and a researcher with over 30 years of professional experience in the IT industry. Throughout my career, I have held diverse roles, including CTO, Principal Software Engineer, and Service Manager. This background has allowed me to develop deep expertise in web technologies, system architecture, and service design.

My current research focuses on Green IT and the environmental impact of software development. I am dedicated to investigating how architectural choices and software engineering practices affect energy consumption, aiming to foster a deeper understanding of sustainability within the digital landscape. More broadly, I have a strong interest in research and enjoy contributing to the advancement of knowledge through interdisciplinary and applied research activities.

Outside of my professional work, I am passionate about sound engineering and video editing. I am a proud supporter of environmental and wildlife conservation. In my free time, I enjoy theatre, walking, and travelling, and volunteer with Kiltwalk Scotland.
