Birds of a Feather (BoF) Session July 3, 2024

Proposal for IG: Data, process and NTRO in the creative and performing arts

Plenary: RDA 23rd Plenary Meeting – San José, Costa Rica

Meeting objectives

Creating a space for representing communities that create ‘non-traditional’ or ‘non-text’ process and products (rather than simply ‘outputs’) including creative practice.
IG Formation: We aim to officially establish an Interest Group, building on the interest and momentum generated during the P22 BoF. This will involve gathering interested participants who could potentially serve as co-chairs, thereby ensuring broad representation and engagement from various sectors within the creative and performing arts community.
o Structured Planning: Moving beyond broad discussions, we will focus on creating a clear action plan for the IG, including identifying specific projects, collaborative opportunities, and initial outputs that align with the group’s objectives.
o Deepening Community Engagement: Leveraging the advantages of an in-person event, we plan to solidify connections among participants, fostering a community that can sustain and grow the IG’s initiatives.
