Short introduction describing the activities and the scope of the group

The goal of this interest group is to explore how researchers and repositories should appropriately manage human-subject datasets in a way that can simultaneously support sharing while protecting the privacy of those human subjects. The group also seeks tobuild awareness of the privacy implications of research data sharing. While privacy is related to the ethical, legal and data publishing issues surrounding data management of which privacy is a part, this working group is focused specifically on privacy-related concerns. The group has done some initial exploratory work

Meeting objectives

The meeting objectives will be to do a final review of the draft outputs, and finalize them for submission as final outputs of the group for release. We also will seek to determine future directions of the interest group.
