Crossref publishes ‘Position paper: persistent identifiers in research infrastructure policy’
Crossref recently published its first position paper, aimed at policymakers working on national PID strategies: ‘Position paper: persistent identifiers in research infrastructure policy’ , https://doi.org/10.13003/
The paper outlines Crossref’s position on PIDs, metadata and related services and the need for different stakeholders to evaluate infrastructure holistically, looking beyond identifiers to the metadata, services, interoperability, and long-term sustainability supporting that infrastructure.
I hope you’ll find the paper an interesting read. Please, do not hesitate to share any comments, questions or disagreements, we are very keen to hear what the community thinks. Also happy to discuss at any time, just drop me a message or send your comments to [email protected].
