In this Research Data Insider, Elisabeth Hagen from the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH), will talk about the new EU regulation on the European Health Data Space (EHDS). It is one of 14 planned European data spaces and will create a common framework for the use and exchange of electronic health data across the EU. From a research perspective EHDS will provide a secure and efficient route for researchers to access FAIR health data across Europe. The NIPH is working on implementing the EHDS to streamline access to health data for secondary purposes, such as research and policy-making. Elisabeth will in the webinar introduce EHDS to the RDA Norway community and also talk about how NIPH and collaborative institutions plans to implement the EHDS to facilitate easier access to health data for secondary use in Norway and across borders.

Elisabeth Hagen is a project manager in the Department of Strategy and Portfolio at the Norwegian Institute of Public Health (NIPH). For the last 10 years she has been actively involved in several projects related to developing infrastructure for easier access to health data. She currently leads a project at the NIPH to establish a Coordinating Health Data Access Body in Norway.
