    Dear RDA in Ireland colleagues,
A reminder that the Research Data Alliance Plenary 21 is happening next week both online and in person in Salzburg, Austria, in partnership with International Data Week 2023! You can view the programme for both events here: https://internationaldataweek.org/idw2023/programme/.
The Digital Repository of Ireland will be co-chairing a discussion on forming a Cultural Heritage Collections Interest Group in the session titled “Why aren’t we talking about Collections as Data?” on Monday, October 23rd at 12:00 UTC. This proposal spun out of the work currently ongoing in the WorldFAIR Project towards domain-sensitive recommendations for implementing the FAIR Principles. We look forward to welcoming presenters on topics including the Mellon-funded “Collections as Data” project in the US, the European Data Space for Cultural Heritage, and the Biodiversity Heritage Collections supported by DiSSCo.
If there are other sessions that any group members will be participating in that may be of interest to RDA in Ireland members, please feel free to share!
    Best,
    Beth
