This is a working area dedicated to RDA-related activities, updates and events in Indonesia.

The RDA Indonesia (RDA-ID) aims to foster collaboration, build networks, and drive advancements in research data management (RDM) across Indonesia and the wider Southeast Asia region. RDA-ID will serve as a key platform for engaging national and regional stakeholders in discussions about data standards, policies, and infrastructures. The regional group will focus on addressing the unique challenges and opportunities of research data in Indonesia, from governance issues to data access and sustainability. By connecting Indonesian researchers, institutions, and policymakers with global RDA activities, RDA-ID aims to amplify the voices of the region in the broader global RDM community.
Mission: To enhance the capacity of Indonesian researchers and institutions to effectively manage, share, and use research data, in line with international standards and practices, contributing to the global open science movement.
Goals and Objectives:
- Capacity Building: Equip Indonesian researchers, data stewards, and institutions with the knowledge and skills needed to manage data effectively.
- Networking and Collaboration: Facilitate communication and collaboration between local and international stakeholders in the RDM ecosystem.
- Policy Advocacy: Engage with national and regional policymakers to align research data policies with global best practices.
- Research Data Infrastructure: Support the development of national and regional infrastructures for research data management, including repositories, data governance models, and interoperability standards.
- Global Integration: Connect Indonesia’s research community with global RDA working groups and initiatives to ensure that local concerns are represented in international discussions.
