    Dear Susanna,
Thank you for sending us this content, indeed it raises a point that I have
been thinking about and wish to discuss with the editorial team and the
co-chairs, which is how we connect the COVID-19 recommendations and
guidelines to existing recommendations and outputs from RDA.
It is good to have the FAIRsharing as a concrete example if and when we
find a way to include these connections in future releases of the document.
    Kind regards
    Hilary

    Dear Hilary,
thanks for acknowledging the receipt of the FAIRsharing WG
recommendations, and thanks for the release of v2. Clearly a lot of work
has gone in pulling all together.
On Tuesday’s chairs-moderators call, it would be good to discuss how
(relevant) endorsed RDA recommendations. Especially because I see that
v2 release has new intro cross-cutting sections: on standards and
repositories. Surprisingly, these sections recommend deposition of use
of a couple of resources, none of which are adopted RDA output. And
there is a glaring omission of FAIRsharing, which is adopted  output.
This omission is particularly striking since the FAIRsharing WG has been
quick to respond to the COVID WG call, and also the only resources
(standards and repositories) to engage, by creating a collection, adding
links to several standards and repositories listed and collected by the
various sub-groups.In addition, a recent discussion with Natalie
(Meyers) has also highlighted the need for a process to systematically
pull the standards and repositories from the zotero library to the COVID
WG Collection in FAIRsharing, which make them searchable and interlinked.
Whilst I am certain that there is an explanation for this omission, and
I would be most grateful if you could tell me what that is. I own an
explain to those in the FAIRsharing WG who have contributed to the text
    and the work.
    Kind regards,
    Susanna

    Dear Susanna,
I appreciate the effort that the FAIRsharing WG dedicated to generating the
text sent last week and perhaps there was a misunderstanding or
miscommunication somewhere if it was the group’s understanding that the
text would be integrated into the document. As mentioned, we can discuss
this item during the call tomorrow to understand if and how connections
with existing RDA recommendations and outputs could be included in future
    versions.
One point of clarification, when you state “*Especially because I see that
v2 release has new intro cross-cutting sections: on standards and
repositories”* could you tell me what section you are referring to?
    Many thanks and kind regards
    Hilary
