Laure Haak has decided to step down after 10 years (!) as co-chair of the PID Interest Group. Please join me in thanking Laure for her valuable contributions both to this Group and to RDA over the years. It’s been a pleasure and an honour to have worked with her as co-chair. Thank you. Laure isn’t leaving RDA – in fact she has just joined the Technical Advisory Board.
I am delighted to say that Josh Brown has agreed to join us as a new co-chair. Many of you will know Josh from his time at ORCID or more recently in his role as lead consultant on strategy and research with MoreBrains.
As I write this, I realise that I totally forgot to annouce here that Nobuko Miyairi joined us some time ago as a fourth co-chair. My apologies. Nobuko is a freelance consultant/analyst, based in Tokyo, Japan, providing scholarly communications strategy for academic societies, research institutions, publishers, and vendors/
Please join me in welcoming Josh and Nobuko! Hopefully you will have the opportunity to meet them both virtually in the upcoming Plenary
