Invitation to comment on GORC II WG SoW – closes 10 Feb!

Hello all,

We have submitted the statement of work (SoW) for the GORC International Implementations WG (GORC II WG) and it is currently open for community comment until 10 February 2025. I encourage you to read the SoW and provide any comments and feedback you have as well as sharing with other groups you think would be interested!

I am especially interested in comments and suggestions from the National Data Services IG as we have already identified areas of complimentary work between this group and the GORC groups, specifically creating an NDS profile of the GORC international commons model (GORC IM). You’ll see that one of our first intermediate outputs is to work with the NDS IG via a cross-group task force to create and verify such a profile, so that the GORC IM can be more readily adopted and used by NDS organizations and lead to improved interoperability, shared vocabulary, and gap identification plus transparency on implementation between NDS.

Note that the GORC II WG is a subsequent working group to the GORC IM WG, hence some of the sections being shorter than you may expect for a brand new working group.
