The objective for this meeting will be to present our first set of finalized deliverables stemming from recent community-driven MOMSI WG activities. This session will include interactive discussions and demos of our new Multi-omics data standards landscape review dashboard repository (Deliverable 1a), supported under the RDA TIGER program. We will also introduce our sustainability curation workflow connecting to our FAIRsharing Multi-omics Standards Collection (Deliverable 1b) in collaboration with the RDA FAIRsharing WG. This is a great opportunity for community members (new and existing) to provide feedback on our deliverables as we prepare our first recommendation manuscript. During this session we will also discuss upcoming MOMSI WG activities and our final set of deliverables (multi-omics collection gap analysis + manuscript). Outcomes from this session serve to promote ongoing RDA collaborations in building new community partnerships for adoption of MOMSI WG open resources and recommendations, aimed to empower Multi-omics standard harmonization and continuous educational awareness.

Target audience

This meeting aims to bring together new and existing members in broadening the range of diverse perspectives contributing to ongoing working group activities. We also aim to target new partnerships with communities or organizations interested in adoption of recommendations/deliverables among Researchers (data generators/users), Data Support Professionals (data/project managers), Developers (data consumers/generators), Data Curators (data quality assurance assessors), Data Publishers (service providers) interested in Multi-omics data and metadata standards integration across Genomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics, and Lipidomics domain areas and technologies.

Group Activities and Scope

The RDA Multi-Omics Metadata Standards WG is a multidisciplinary working group is comprised of a variety of subject matter experts and research support professionals across Omics technology domains in areas of Genomics, Proteomics, Metabolomics, and Lipidomics. Multi-omics data integration involves merging different Omics data types and metadata capture methods using high-throughput technologies for quantification and characterization of large complex pools of biological molecules. A unrelenting challenge Multi-omics data integration often faces is the vast array of fragmented data types and data standards (metadata reporting guidelines, terminologies/ontologies, models/formats, and identifiers schemas) generated across the different Omics domains, making it difficult to manage and reuse prior to integration. This working group aims to provide clear recommendations and supporting deliverables based on careful curation and dissemination of evaluated Multi-omics community standards across domains that serve to support flexible harmonization of Multi-omics data and metadata standard integration developments.
