Non-Traditional Research Outputs and processes are not well described within current information standards which reflect a research reward and recognition system that assumes a sole, often textual based output and possibly an underlying dataset. The purpose of the the Infrastructure for Non-Traditional Research Outputs and Processes (Infra4NTROs) Interest Group is to provide a community space that prioritises these outputs, to document their use cases and to enable them to be better described, and embedded, across information standards. 

The Infra4NTROs IG will foster working groups to identify relevant topics, co-ordinate activities, including appropriate RDA Working Groups, to better describe these outputs, enabling more inclusive information standards, reducing the current long tail of OTHER. The Infra4NTROs IG will collaborate with existing RDA Working Groups, and establish new working groups based on priority areas identified at RDA plenaries.
