In today’s rapidly evolving research landscape, effective Research Data Management (RDM) is critical to ensuring data integrity, reproducibility, and accessibility. As the importance of RDM continues to grow, so does the need for robust educational programs that equip researchers and students with the necessary skills and knowledge.
The primary objective of this session is to explore different perspectives on RDM education by analysing various approaches to teaching on and training in this topic. By comparing experiences from different educational models and institutions, we aim to provide insights into what works well in diverse settings. Sharing insights and good practices from successful RDM instruction initiatives will help identify key elements of effective RDM education. Moreover, this session will identify challenges and opportunities by highlighting the pros and cons of different RDM education formats. By recognizing common challenges and exploring potential solutions, we aim to improve the overall quality and accessibility of RDM education.

Through a combination of presentations and interactive discussions, this session will provide a comprehensive overview of the current state of RDM education and explore future directions for its development.

To ensure inclusivity and accessibility, this session will be bilingual: English and Spanish. Presentations will be primarily in English, with slides available in Spanish or vice versa.
