    What we miss:
    * updates from Plenary – Yolanda?
    * Group updates – sorry I may have missed some messaged during my
holidays, which groups are we focusing this months?
    * Council meeting in Troy – is there any article?
    * Note about process for activating accounts (I can add 2 lines at the
    end)
Do we want to keep the note about the Commnication kit and the News and

    Dear Sara,
Thanks for this. I sent (just a few momentgs ago) the call for bids text I
had promised. Could that be included?
    A few points:
    1. I notice that “RDA for the Social Sciences – Report” is missing from
    the ToC.
    2. I would leave the Communications Kit .. perhaps a word or two could
be included there about the adoption stories as I believe that is the only
place they are referenced & kept
    3. could we reorder the content according to following:
    – International Data Week Update
    – Call for TAB Nominations still open
    – RDA for the Social Sciences – Report
    – Call for EU applications to host 14th Plenary Meeting
    – CODATA Issues Call for Papers Highlighting RDA Results – deadline
    approaching
    – New Organisational Members: CESSDA ERIC and DRI
    – Group updates: Early Career and Engagement Interest Group
    – Member spotlight: Kathryn Unsworth, Outreach Librarian at CSIRO
    – Blog Post – Nordic Research Data Lights
    – RDA Communications Toolkit
    – Share Your News and Events with RDA
    – Upcoming Events
    Thanks
    Hilary

    Hi all,
    Some newsletter notes:
    * I added links to registration along with the early bird deadline, a link to the P12 programme, and a placeholder for side events. The Drone data IG asked us to publicize their side event so I used it as an example here.
    * We had talked about mentioning the new user moderation process quickly to let members know about the change. This still seems appropriate to me?
    * I don’t feel like the news and events process is very well managed at this point – maybe I am wrong? I would tend to remove the Share your News and Events section until we have a better turnaround time and follow-up on the events and news that is submitted.
    * The link to the OpenUp conference in the early career and engagement Ig seems weird to be… is this a big deal in the EU? I’m not sure it is worth a global mention, especially as all of our groups are presenting in various meetings around the world. I did add a note on their Ask Me Anythings tho, which has impact for broader RDA membership.
    * We haven’t added new groups and recommendations in the past. This seems like a good idea – I’m wondering how/when we should present these tho…maybe with asks for adoption stories for recommendations still in evaluation?
    Many thanks!

Thanks Sara and team for your work on this! I also reviewed today and made the following updates:
    – Addition of the Call for P14 proposals provided by Hilary earlier today
    – Further update to the IDW update article
    – Further update to Member Spotlight article
    – Minor formatting updates
    – Minor title changes to emphasize deadline dates
We still need to add supporting outputs and group updates. Although I love the new website design, it’s not clear to me anymore what those new updates are from first glance. Lynn or Sara (Stefanie is away now I think), do you have that info to include?
Let me know if you have any questions about any of my edits.
Sara, feel free to make the call on Lynn’s suggestions below – I’m ok either with any decision.
    Thanks.

    Thanks Yolanda and all,
I’ve fixed the newsletter, in particular I’ve fixed the order of the
items as suggested by Hilary and shortened the article about Kathryn
Unsworth, which I personally think is still too long for a Newsletter,
that’s why I’ve published it here
    https://rd-alliance.org/about/organization/key-profiles/kathryn-unsworth….
As I said to Stefanie, I believe we should publish all member focus
articles in a dedicated section, my suggestion is to have a new menu
    within the “About RDA” section.
Regarding the new endorsed groups and supporting outcomes, I personally
have difficulties in finding them, but I don’t think this has nothing to
do with the new website. *Lynn if you can help listing them *I can add a
paragraph to the newsletter, otherwise let’s move this to next month.
There is no specific filter so far for the endorsement status of the
outputs, but this is something that we need to implement (as part of the
new functionalities to map all outputs and groups). It shouldn’t be too
long so we may try and have this in place for next month.
Please let me know what you think. From my side the newsletter is ready
to go tomorrow morning EU time.
    Best
    Sara

    Hi all,
Depending on when you will post the newsletter, there may be a new
recommendation out for community review (the RDA/TDWG WG) – we just
    received the recommendation today.
I’ll try to set this up before I go; I’ll let you know.
Recently endorsed groups (Lynn, please double-check if these are correct):
    – Blockchain Applications in Health WG
    – CODATA/RDA Research Data Science Summer Schools for Low and Middle
    Income Countries IG
    – ESIP/RDA Earth, Space, and Environmental Sciences IG
    Recent Supporting Outputs:
    – Persistent identifiers: Consolidated assertions

    – Summary of Virtual Layer Recommendations

Both are from the Data Fabric IG.
