Thanks, Chris,
That sounds like a good and practical suggestion to me.
Would you and/or others in the National PIDS group be able to suggest a filtered subset of the items in the list below for inclusion in the update? That would give us a good basis for consolidating a revised agenda as requested by the Secretariat.
Best regards,
Rory

Hi Rory,
Thanks for following this up.
I’ll be on leave from tomorrow and then not back until the 7th August. I’d be happy to meet up today but perhaps, considering the different time zones, this is something we can resolve via email.
Looking again at the agenda for the PID Exchange session, the first half an hour is focused on updates from our two IGs and then there’s an hour to discuss the PID Exchange. I don’t know what my fellow co-chairs think, but perhaps we just need to update those first two agenda items and add more detail? These were the objectives for the unsuccessful PID Strategies Assemble session. It’s not ideal, but I’m sure we can filter these down into our update:
· Explain the work of the new National PID Strategies IG and how it builds on the work of the prior WG
· Promote the National PID Strategies WG deliverables - guide, checklist and nine case studies - and share adoption stories
· Discuss plans for maintaining the guide and existing set of case studies
· Facilitate information exchange between those developing and/or delivering national PID strategies
· Encourage other countries from across the globe to submit case studies for their national PID strategies
· Consider future IG activities such as developing a shared value proposition for particular use cases that assist the development of national PID strategies
· Engage further with international PID providers
· Highlight synergies with other PID work, including related RDA groups
Thanks,
Chris

Hi everyone,
Re the below, the deadline for submitting a revised application is next Thursday, 27 July. Should we try to convene a call to discuss or can we do that by email? If an all hands call is going to be too difficult to arrange logistically we could perhaps look at a call where at least a couple of people from each group is present.
Let me know what you think.
Thanks,
Rory

Dear Chairs of the Working with PIDs in Tools IG and National PID Strategies Interest Group,
Your RDA P21 session application titled PID Exchange - a curated information resource for PID adopters has been conditionally approved, subject to you incorporating the following changes provided in the feedback below:
The session selection process was very competitive and due to the limited capacity for sessions at P21 we could not accept more than one session per group. The Technical Advisory Board (TAB) would like to suggest merging the individual group session, PID Strategies Assemble!submitted by Christopher Brown (in cc) with your joint session. This will involve a review of the scope and objectives of your joint session to ensure each group’s goals can be accomplished.
A revised version of your application should highlight the suggested modifications and be sent to ***@***.***-foundation.org by close of business Thursday, 27th July.
Key dates to keep in mind:
* Draft programme to be published on Friday, 28 July
* P21 programme will be deemed final by Tuesday, 22 August
Your revised application will be reviewed within one week of receipt and the final decision will be communicated to the group.
If you have any questions, please contact ***@***.***-foundation.org, or your TAB liaisons, Raphael Cobe and Mingfang Wu (in cc).
Best regards,
RDA Secretariat
