Hello to the great research software community,
I'm sending this email via three mailing lists, hopefully it doesn't create
duplicates in your email account :-)
Last week we had 35 participants at the Research Software Hackathon working
hard on making software a first class citizen in the scholarly world with
representatives from the three working groups:
- the RDA's Software Source Code IG [SSC IG]
- the joint Force11 & RDA Software Source Code Identification WG [SCID WG]
- the Force11 Software Citation Implementation WG [SCI WG]
We had a very productive day where we discussed many aspects for improving
the tools, guidelines and status of source code as a research output.
You can read all about it on the Software Heritage blog post:
https://www.softwareheritage.org/2019/10/23/research-software-hackathon
-at-force2019/
Also all the outcomes are available on the SCID WG GitHub:
https://github.com/force11/force11-rda-scidwg/tree/master/hackathon
/FORCE2019#outcomes
This week there is the P14 RDA plenary without a scheduled session for the
RDA groups, but I'm sure that the hackathon's participants who are present
at P14 will be happy to share.
Cheers,
