Hi all,
1. *P11*: A quick reminder there’s* partial funding available
for Australian* members to attend in Berlin.
2. *P11: *As promised, in the lead up to P11 (Berlin) we’re running a *series
of telecons* with groups working on similar issues. See the attached flyer
for more details and click on these links to add to your google calendars.
(Telecon details also in flyer for non google-cals). Sincere apologies to
our Australian colleagues, we’re keen to re-evaluate time in the longer
term!

3. *IDW: *Lastly, there’s a lot of on discussion and planning happening for
IDW in November. It looks like we will be co-hosting with University of
Botswana and local geomatics and conservation operators:
– An Earth Science and Conservation themed *flying week* the week before
the conference, (with Ag and other users more than welcome)
– *Hackathon *sessions around processing the data captured during the
flying week hosted by the University of Botswana (non flyers again welcome)
– And obviously drone related* sessions in the conference week* too. So
we wanted to specifically share the SciDataCon session abstracts we’re
working on (due 19 Feb). Many topics have been suggested, if you’d like to
contribute to any of the abstracts/session proposals or have other
ideas/strong views on anything please do comment/edit using links here
.
*Watch for more on IDW, and please do email me/find me in Berlin if you’re
at all interested in being part of the planning!*
