  • XML file with datacite metadata
  • Put datacite version in filename?
• Recommend structuring? -> otherwise hard to interpret other’s bags
  • Difficult as this would break existing implementations
  • Too much effort for platform developers
  • Try to get information from elsewhere (e.g. profile)
• Add platform information (type, version)
• Maybe add separate file for providing schema of other MD files
  • Map metadata file in bag to schema URL
  • Allows quick determination whether the content can be understood or not
• Add folder containing ‘our’ information to avoid filename collisions
