Just a Reminder, about the upcoming Data and Software Preservation PresQT workshop to be held at University of Notre Dame May 1-2, 2017. There are a few seats left for those who'd like to attend on-site(registration closes Sunday night) & a remote attendance option.
The workshop convenes communities and tool providers engaged in data and software preservation to assess needs, look at the successful tools of today, and brainstorm about the data and software preservation tools of the future.
There will be talks and sessions featuring Data Curation Network, Software Preservation Network, CodeOcean, Data Conservancy and participation from industry, corporate, academic, agency and international perspectives. There will be keynote talks from Jeff Spies on "Data Integrity in Distributed Systems: What We Can Learn from Bitcoin, BitTorrent, and Usenet", from Mike Hildreth on "Data and Software Preservation for Open Science", and from Ian Foster on Automation for Data Preservation.
