Slides and Recordings from Recent Webinars on the TRUST Principles (and deadline for comments on Ver. 0.02)

09 Oct 2019

Dear Colleagues,

As you might be aware, two complementary webinars were recently given by Dawei Lin (IG Co-chair) on the TRUST Principles.

The first was held on Thursday, 12 September 2019 at 13:00 UTC, and was aimed predominantly at IG members, who were given an update on the status of the TRUST white paper and a brief outline of the results from the report of a recent National Institutes of Health (NIH) workshop on Trustworthy Data Repositories for Biomedical Sciences. The slides and recording from this webinar may be found here:

The second webinar was held on Monday, 7 October 2019 at 23:00 UTC, and was aimed at the community of the World Data System. The content was similar to the first webinar, but with a reversal in focus: participants were introduced to the TRUST Principals, but the presentation covered more about the NIH workshop report. The slides and recording from the WDS Webinar may be found here:

Finally, a reminder that Version 0.02 of the TRUST principles for Digital Repository White Paper has been released for comments and suggestions: We strongly encourage you to give us your feedback and to share the link widely, noting that comments on the current version will be collected until approximately Monday, 14 October to allow the authors time to incorporate revisions for discussion at the IG's session at RDA P14 (Friday, 25 October at 09:00–10:30; Room: Undergraduate Center - U142 U4).

We very much look forward to seeing everyone in Helsinki,
Rorie Edmunds
(On behalf of the Co-chairs of the RDA/WDS Certification of Digital Repositories IG)
