Dear RDA Web Focus Group Members,
I wanted to let you know that Sara Pittonet will be contacting the working and interest group chairs shortly to invite them to assign a primary and secondary focus for their group according to the following classification:
1. Data Management
2. Data Collection
3. Data Description
4. Identify, Store, and Preserve
5. Disseminate, Link, and Find
6. Policy, Legal Compliance, and Capacity
This is the same classification that the secretariat / Anthony used to present the outputs at P13.
We have decided to apply this classification together with the Frascati domain one as options for the groups to facilitate the urgently requested navigation of both groups and outputs that we are being asked for by the community.
While this is not the classification that this group defined some time ago, we will apply the one above as a starting point, publish the navigation tool and move forward from there, taking stock of its usefulness, applicability, and eventual re-classification or expansion.
Sara will ask the chairs to complete the classification by 3rd May (approx) so that we can publish the tool in May and move onwards from there.
