CLARIN and SSHOC T6.2 are organizing a webinar to discuss best practices for preserving oral sources – which are fragile objects within oral history that rely on a specialised infrastructure for preservation. The event is to be hosted by CLARIN Café which offers researchers, lecturers, students and topic experts an interactive space for discussion. During the webinar, participants will learn about the best practices for preserving such oral sources, and will also have the opportunity to discuss these practices with the expert presenters.
The webinar will be delivered on February 24, 2021, from 14:00 to 16:00, and will host Silvia Calamai (CLARIN-IT) and Véronique Ginouvès (CLARIN-FR) who will present:
- two ethnomusicological collections from French museums and the Michel Seurat sound archives catalogue, and
- the Italian Vademecum containing useful information for the treatment of oral sources.
