RDA Regional Assembly Meeting 18 March 2020 at P15

Dear Colleagues,
I hope you are all well and some of you are planning to travel to Melbourne for the Plenary meeting, albeit the uncertainty surrounding travel these days.
I wanted to inform you that to take advantage of the 15th Plenary Meeting we are planning a Regional Assembly meeting on 18th March 2020 (14:30 - 16:00AEDT) in Room 108 at the conference venue (MCEC), open to new, aspiring and contributing regions to share updates on progress with regions, understand the status of some aspiring regional progress.
I recently updated the Regional Engagement framework document to reflect the fact that the Regional Assembly will be open to all and the Regional Advisory Board (RAB) will be constituted with representatives from "Contributing" regions, those with whom we have a partnership agreement. For the moment those are 4: Australia, France, Europe, and the United States.

14:30 - 14:45 Welcome and Update on Regional Engagement progress - Hilary Hanahoe
14:45 - 15:30 Round table - update from contributing regions and interactive discussion with new, aspiring and contributing regions on plans for next 6 months
15:30 - 16:00 Discussion on coordination, collaboration for future, support from RDA Secretariat and virtual meeting schedule.
Given the fact that many of you and the regional contacts may not be attending the plenary meeting, we will schedule virtual meetings in April to continue to the interaction.
