I wanted to share details of a BoF session for the upcoming RDA Plenary in Gothenburg, and which if you are attending the plenary I would like to encourage and warmly welcome you to attend. The session is open to all:
Promoting synergies between national RDM and data stewardship networks
Wednesday, 22 March 2023, 10:00 - 11:30
Our central objective during this Birds of a Feather session is to give an opportunity to national networks and groups supporting RDM and data stewardship both existing and emerging to come together, to share experiences, identify common goals and challenges and consider potential collaborations. Areas for discussion to include;
- Links to be forged between existing and emerging networks
- To learn from the experience of others, especially from established networks and groups
- Discussion of how to sustain network and network activities long term
- Recruitment of members
- Identification of key stakeholders
- Examples of best practice and expertise but also areas of shared uncertainty
- Investigation of the potential for shared projects and resources
The chair of the session will be me, Dr Aoife Coffey, Research Data Coordinator at University College Cork. Dr Deborah Thorpe, Research Data Steward, University College Cork will also be attending and facilitating. We are very keen to have representatives from as many national networks as possible to contribute to the session.
