Fwd: [landscape-mapping] Health Data IG mapping exercise

03 Apr 2017
Groups audience:

Hey Lynn/Everybody,

This is good stuff! How would you suggest that we connect with them?

Proposal to the rest of MoL:

1. Inivite them to *our* Breakout #8 session. Unfortunately on Friday,
so some RDAers will be gone.
2. Go to *their* Breakout #5 session (joint session with Big Data),
could be a busy session
3. Go to *their* Breakout #6 session - I have a conflict and cannot go
4. Some combination of 1,2,3?
5. No direct, formal contact during P9, but written communication to
connect between now and P10
6. No contact, no action

I'm sure that there are other options, but I don't think that #6 is
viable. They're obviously putting work into their mindmap and I would like
to connect their work with our fledgling "kumu" database

    Hi Steve, All

Following my attendance at their meeting some weeks ago, I have forwarded the Landscape Mapping IG meeting information to Leslie McIntosh of the Health Data IG and asked that she connect if possible. Hopefully Leslie or a representative of their group will be able to attend on Friday.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to attend as I am in Prague at the Arctic Science Summit Week. However, I will provide a detailed update on the Arctic Data E-CoSystem initiative before the meeting. Major development is that we are now actively working to staff a postdoc position. See attached announcement.

Sorry that I cannot e with you in Barcelona.

    Kind regards,

    Peter

    Hey Peter,

Thanks for the timely and informative update! Hopefully, we can connect
    with Leslie McIntosh this week.

Congratulations on getting the resources to fund a postdoc and please say
hello to Anton Van de Putte who is also at your meeting.
