The University of Melbourne is home to Australia’s first Open Source Geospatial Laboratory [1]. On behalf of GeoForAll community, I want to thank all our colleagues at the University of Melbourne and all other organisations for FOSS4G SOTM Oceania 2018 (November 20-23, 2018). For the first time, the FOSS4G and OpenStreetMap communities of Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific Islands are gathering for 4 incredible days of exploring open source geospatial tech & open data.

GeoForAll is a simple idea powered by a global community who are all working for a selfless aim on providing Open Education opportunities for all. Openness is fundamental in harnessing the true potential of Geospatial Science and expanding digital economy opportunities for all.
    Best wishes,
    Suchith
