RDA FAIR data maturity model: workshop #7 report

20 Feb 2020
Groups audience:

Dear members of the RDA FAIR data maturity model WG,
We would like to thank all the participants for attending our two online
workshops last week, the 13th of February. These were insightful and
productive.
All topics discussed and a summary of the meeting have been compiled into a
report that you can access at the following link [1]. Please don't hesitate
to share remarks or comments if you have any.
On another topic, we would like to let you know that the testing phase is
still ongoing and thus if you are willing to compare the FAIR data maturity
model indicators against either your methodology or a digital object of
your choice, you are very welcome to do so. We are at your disposal for any
assistance you may need. If you know of people that might be interested
please redirect them to us.
The feedback collected will be aggregated with what we have already and we
will present the final results at the next meeting, in Melbourne.
Lastly, as presented last week, a hybrid scoring mechanism (i.e. maturity
assessment) will be developed – based on the input collected so far. We
would like very much to hear your thoughts on it. We will further
communicate and respond to your suggestions about the scoring mechanism
(maturity assessment) in the following GitHub thread [2].
The next plenary session is fast approaching and we are preparing for it.
More information about the tentative agenda and practical details will come
soon. As a reminder the session is taking place on the 19th of March at
11:30 until 13:00 AEDT – Australian Eastern Daylight Time (Breakout 4) [3].
Thank you very much for your continuing commitment.
We will keep you posted.
Best,
The editorial team
