Due to our shared interest in understanding and meeting training and skills needs for the preservation, management and handling of research data, I would like to invite members of the ETHRD Interest Group to complete the Digital Archiving & Preservation Training Needs Survey, available at
    https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DAPTNS2015DCC until 2 October 2015.
This has been developed in collaboration between the Digital Curation Centre (DCC), Digital Preservation Coalition (DPC) and University of London Computer Centre (ULCC).  All three organisations have a long history of working collaboratively with the aim of promoting best practice and providing training and advice for an ever growing international workforce, faced with the issue of long-term preservation and sustainability of born digital content, including research data.
    How to take part?
The Digital Archiving & Preservation Training Needs Survey
    https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DAPTNS2015DCC
shouldn’t take more than 15 minutes to complete and is open until Friday, 2nd October 2015. Please do share with colleagues and/or friends who have an interest in digital archiving and preservation, regardless of the sector they are working in.
    What next?
Once concluded we will share findings from the survey – appropriately anonymised – with all respondents and the wider community in report form. In addition both DCC and DPC will reuse parts of the survey to be included in a number of publications.
Many thanks for your responses – we greatly appreciate them.
    Best wishes,
    Laura Molloy, RDA ETHRD IG
