Following the discussions at the 3rd Champions Conference in Warsaw
(19-20 June 2017) and EDISON Liaison Group (ELG) meeting on 29 June
2017, we took initiative to organise the final EDISON workshop with the
provisional title:
Data Science: From infrastructure to skills for insight and
value
The goal is to further engage with the RI, EOSC and RDA communities to
discuss roadmap for Data Science related professions and skills,
including education, training and certification and how to achieved
EDISON project results implementation and sustainability.

Dear all,
We would like to invite you to join us for a 1-day workshop at the
Amsterdam Science Park on 29th August 2017 to explore how data science
competences and skills can be bring value to data produced by European
RI’s and what are the challenges with managing and sustaining these
skills in the competitive condition of today with growing demand from
industry, as well as beyond Europe. The EDISON project has developed the
EDISON Data Science Framework (EDSF) as a conceptual approach to solving
the challenges/problems with capacity building and skills management in
modern data-driven research. This will provide a starting point for
discussions around specific topics relating to recruitment, career
development, team management and professional development.
