Our speaker Kyriakos Chatzidimitriou will be focusing his presentation on highlighting some simple yet important heuristics, rules, methods and tips that one needs to remember and apply when creating machine learning pipelines.
As per usual, there will also be a segment with introductions and discussions about your research interests and current attempts! :)

A little bit about our speaker:
Dr Kyriakos Chatzidimitriou has obtained both his doctorate and engineering diplomas from the Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (AUTH), Greece, in 2012 and 2003 respectively. He has also a Master of Science degree from the Computer Science department of Colorado State University (CSU), USA. He has worked as a researcher and technical leader for more than ten European, National and private sector funded R&D projects and as a software engineer in the industry. His research interests are in the areas of Machine Learning and Big Data for and with Software Engineering. He is currently a research and teaching fellow at ECE, AUTH. In 2017, he co-founded Cyclopt, a spin-off company of AUTH, focusing on software analytics.
