ITHAKA Sustainability Course for Digital Resources

30 Sep 2014
Groups audience:

All,

I wanted to let the members of this group know that the ITHAKA course on sustainability for digital respositories that I mentioned in my presentation at the Amsterdam session is offering the course again.

Here's a summary of the course:

Give your project the best chance to succeed

Whether you need to build institutional support, drive audience engagement or identify revenue sources, this course offers a hands-on approach to help you plan for the long-term success of your digital resource. Expert faculty work with participants to teach them a core set of business strategy skills, illustrated with real-world case studies. Then participants apply what they are learning to their own projects, carrying out research and planning exercises over a period of five months. Participants learn new skills, formulate hypotheses about what will make their project sustainable, and test these ideas out, with the support of experts and peers throughout the program.

The deadline to register for the course is October 15. More information is available at  http://www.sr.ithaka.org/training/sustaining-digital-resources-course.

The course is open to international participants.  I highly recommend it!
