PLOS launches research data survey

06 May 2020

Dear Data Policy Standardisation and Implementation Interest Group members,
I'm writing to share a major survey targeting researchers in the US and Europe that PLOS has launched. The goal is to deepen understanding of researchers' priorities with regards to sharing research data, and to understand how well existing tools and services are meeting researchers' needs.
I thought this would be of interest to members of this RDA group because of the growing number of journals and policies promoting data sharing, and hope RDA members or their peers who meet the inclusion criteria will respond to the survey.
PLOS will be sharing results of the survey publicly in the future.
The survey can be accessed here: http://sgiz.mobi/s3/PLOS-Research-Data-Survey?S=3
More information about the survey, including why we feel a new survey is needed, is on the PLOS blog: https://blogs.plos.org/plos/2020/05/what-are-your-priorities-for-data-sh...
If you have any questions please let me know.
Best wishes,
Iain
