Dear all
I Agree with the merger – there are too many groups in RDA.
Merging ones with similar ambitions is a great idea.
Take care

Hi all,
there was a BOF session of the proposed GOSC group at the last plenary in Philadelphia. See agenda here with some further links:
The content of that meeting touched quite a few areas in common with NDS IG: types of services; types of business models; pitching the vision; technical interoperability. That meeting seemed to indicate to me that indeed there were indeed considerable shared issues.
i’ll try and put my hands on the meeting notes.

Hi all,
For example we have in Finland NDS and the development project for it
(nowadays called “Fairdata”). Additionally our open science initiaticves
has moved from the ministry driven approach to the community driven
approach ( These two things (NDS and
open science initiative) are somehow separate (e.g. they are managed
separately). Still we can think NDS as a part of open science
I think it might be good idea to look all these thing from the broader
perspective and if there is strictly NDS related issues, then we can
restart old IG or initiate specific WG.
So, I agree 🙂
