Related to this I irritated a chemist at a recent RDM session when she asked about supplementary data and, thinking of this IG, I suggested the sector should be moving away from supplementary towards data repositories. She was on the editorial boards of a couple of journals and said that in her experience they were seeing more supp data, not less, and that she certainly didn’t have time or inclination to also prepare data for a repository. Perhaps highlights a disciplinary specific issue? (I didn’t find out what the journals were!)
