The requested meeting at the 14th RDA plenary in Helsinki will be the fifth meeting of the Working group, after two online GoTo meetings in February and June 2019, a face-to-face meeting at the 13th RDA plenary and a further online GoTo meeting currently scheduled for 12 September 2019.
Building on the work done in the period January-September 2019, the Working Group will meet to discuss a draft maturity model based on the indicators and maturity levels that are being developed collectively by the members of the group.
The meeting will provide an opportunity for the WG to meet in person, while allowing a wider community of interested participants at the 14th RDA plenary to be informed of the work and provide feedback on the proposed maturity model and its elements.
This wider review and feedback are important in order for the WG to meet its goal of delivering a maturity model for FAIR data that is acknowledged and supported by a wide community of researchers and further stakeholders, such as data service owners, funders and infrastructures from different scientific and research disciplines, the industry and the public sector.

- Wrap-up and conclusions, schedule for further work (10 min.)
Researchers, data service owners, funders and infrastructures from different scientific and research disciplines, the industry and public sector, who are active and/or interested in the FAIR data principles and in particular in assessment criteria and methodologies for evaluating their real-life uptake and implementation level.

The RDA Working Group "FAIR data maturity model" was established in January 2019 and aims to develop a common set of core assessment criteria for FAIRness, as an RDA Recommendation. This recommendation will be accompanied by a generic and expandable self-assessment model, for measuring the implementation level of the FAIR data principles.
In the first six months of 2019, the WG has developed a methodology that, from a starting point of an analysis of existing evaluation methods of FAIRness, establishes a set of indicators and maturity levels for those indicators through participation and contributions from the WG members. Discussion takes place on the WG’s mailing list and on GitHub. As of the date of this session request, three WG meetings have taken place: two online GoTo meetings in February and June 2019 and one face-to-face meeting at the 13th RDA plenary in Philadelphia in April 2019.
