Managing and sharing data effectively requires a significant investment from research communities and data service providers. Effort needs to be allocated to plan and execute data management activities such as creating data documentation and preparing data for deposit. Resources also need to be committed to ensure appropriate services are in place and required allocations are made.
Co-Sponsored by RDA/U.S., U.S. cross-agency CENDI, the National Academies, and National Federation of Advanced Information Services (NFAIS)/National Information Standards Organization (NISO), this special one-day workshop for data and information professionals, information technologists, and for disciplinary scientists interested in effective data sharing is focused on the wave of activities related to making data “FAIR” (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, and Reusable).
