By convenience sampling, this study recruited 258 participants that visited the hospital regularly. The subjects were all hospital patients, aged between 20 to 80 years old, and regularly take chronic disease medications. Those who do not use chronic disease medicines and/or could not use the app were excluded. The research period was from January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018. This study used a single-group pre-test/post-test design, applying mining techniques to analyze the weight and probability of interaction among various medicines. An app was used to provide real-time feedback to patients looking for information and remind them of health issues. Besides guiding the patients on medications, this app also measured the nurses’ work satisfaction and patients’ knowledge of drug interaction.
