Hi all:
We have received another 6 reviews from different sectors and from 2 in the
US, 2 in the UK, 1 in the NL, and 1 from AU. I think we have a very good
cross-section of perspectives, including additions of 3 lawyers, a Creative
Commons executive, a science funding agency rep, and another publisher.
Attached for our discussion this Friday at the regular time are all the
summary comments we received and DRAFT responses. The summary reviews and
responses are 33 pages, so we will break up the discussion of the reviews
into the summary and then the specific comments and actual changes to the
Principles and Implementation Guidelines. I believe that the summary
comments will take two phone calls to complete, and we can then discuss the
more specific comments and actual changes to the documents. This is the
same process we followed in the first set of reviews.
The changes to the documents themselves will not be changed as extensively
as the first time, but there are more comments than before because we have
19 reviewers. Please read the attached summary and the instructions at the
top of the document, and be prepared to discuss the responses (but only the
ones you have questions about or disagree with).
Thanks!
Paul

Hi Paul
When going yesterday through the sent documents for today telecom, I saw that you had sent de reviews plus (your) answering comments.
But unless I am wrong, although you make constant references to …have been incorporated; … has been reinforced; … comments of reviewer D are in the text… etc., you did not send the text itself of the Principles and Guidelines with all these modifications and comments… or did you?
Or, alternatively, are they in a new version in google docs which I have missed?
Take care
Enrique

Sorry for the confusion, Enrique. No, I did not yet send out the revised
Principles and Implantation Guidelines, so please refer to the reviews
copies dated 21 April that were sent to the reviewers.
This first phase will only look at the summary review comments and my draft
responses, which have not yet been incorporated. They have been drafted in
the past tense that indicates that they have been, but this is just a
"placeholder". The whole group should see these comments and draft
responses first in order to agree-disagree-discuss them *before* the docs
are revised because the comments are so voluminous. Some reviews are
straightforward and some have issues that require discussion.
Please read the explanation at the beginning of the Summary Review
compilation that explains this process. We will discuss that document first
before the actual documents are revised and sent to everyone.
I look forward to beginning the discussions again today.
Cheers,

OK. It coincides with what I/we all have. I just was wondering if I had missed something and a confirmation that the statu quo is precisely what you say in the email you just sent .. but there was no confusion but need to get rassured.. Very clear.
Take care
