Call for RDM experts in social sciences

22 Aug 2022

Dear members of Social Science Research Data IG,

I am currently working in Riga Stradins University, which is predominantly a medical university, but we also have several strong programmes in social sciences. At the moment, we are developing our RDM system, including new Dataverse repository, implementing DMPs for research projects in Argos, guidelines etc.

Among other activities, we also are planning lectures and/or training courses for our researchers within our doctoral school and other activities. At the moment, I'm looking for experts in social sciences research data management, specialising both in qualitative and quantitative data, as well as with knowledge about controlled vocabularies, standards, ontologies in social sciences. At this stage our focuss is on beginner's knowledge and skills for RDM in social sciences.

Therefore, I'm looking for experts, and I hope that I could find them among members of this interest group or that members could suggest their colleagues for me to contact. If you are interested, please reach out to me (ingmars.kreismanis@rsu.lv), so I could explain in detail about our plans and what kind of arrangements we could agree on.

I will be happy to cooperate and have a nice work week!

Kind regards,

Ingmārs Kreišmanis

    Hi Ingmars
Thanks for reaching out. I’m one of the two chairs of the Interest Group, along with Jon Crabtree.
I’d be happy to have a chat with you to discuss options here.
    Regards
    Steve
