Who puts the "Single" into SSO?

Like standards, SSO systems are a case where two is one too many. I know several groups currently working on federated ID for European researchers. I hope there will be communication between them during Summer 2014. Without it, there is a real risk that European researchers will need several "single" sign on ids.

RDA France meeting, 20 June 2014, Paris

Last Friday it was my pleasure to present RDA at the national French  RDA meeting organised in Paris at the MENESR (Ministère de l’Education Nationale, de l’Enseignement Supérieur et de la Recherche).
The meeting aimed to increase French involvement in the RDA processes as well as to receive feedback from French players on getting involved in RDA and how RDA could embrace activity in France further.

The WG Data Citation Session

The third plenary meeting in Dublin was the second RDA event I had the opportunity to attend. My participation at the plenary meeting this year was enabled by the financial support of the Early Career European Researchers Programme. I am very grateful for this opportunity and explicitly want to thank the organizers not only for the support of young scientists, but also for the perfect organization of an event where more than 475 experts could meet and exchange their ideas.

How domain champions can aid the acceleration of data-intensive research in their disciplines - the Community Capability Model Interest Group’s state of affairs at the time of the 3rd RDA Plenary

At the Third Plenary for the Research Data Alliance, held from March 26 to 28 in Dublin, the Community Capability Model Interest Group presented its development and progress since the last plenary, described current challenges, and investigated the next steps to take. With the objective of assessing capability to do data-intensive research in a broad range of disciplines, the group will continue to engage communities of researchers to complete the Community Capability Model Framework profile.
